Rose is a kind-hearted person. She goes above and beyond for those she cares about and her people. She was raised to not show weakness so she puts up a hard exterior but once you crack open her shell, she'll do anything for you. Only a very certain handful has seen Rose at her most vulnerable so if she is like that to someone, she has put her complete trust in them, and she hopes that those people she trusts do not forsake it because hell hath no fury as a Queen scorned.
WEIGHT: Never ask a lady her weight.
EYES: Brown | Red when her Vampire nature kicks in
Rose is small, petite, and graceful but don't let her looks deceive you, she knows how to pack a punch if needed. Rose is a lot stronger than she looks and can take care of herself. Rose looks as she is in her mid-twenties but she is actually over a millennium-year-old.

She was once the Queen of Hunedoara and the Queen of the Vampire race, she was also Rose's mother. Growing up Rose adored her mother and always looked to her for guidance for anything. Sylviana would prepare Rose on how to rule the kingdom one day since the day she was born. Once Rose became Queen, the Queen Mother stepped down and allowed her daughter to rule, giving her advice when Rose needed it. On the night Rose was murdered, Sylviana was struck with grief she went to go find Septimus, Rose's husband at the time. and while Sylviana cried Septimus performed beautifully acting as if he wasn't the man responsible. Once Rose returned from the dead Sylviana and her husband Decimus retired from the kingdom to go live out the remaining of their lives until an angry mob found them and destroyed them for being what they were.
He was once the King of Hunedoara and the King of the Vampire race, and also Rose's father. Growing up Rose viewed her father as a figure of strength for the Kingdom. Decimus was a fair and just ruler but also knew when to be cold and cruel to the enemies. Rose loved her father as any daughter would, and Decimus loved his daughter in return. He would tutor Rose in some of her studies but his main focus was having her carry on his vision of the Kingdom. Once Rose became Queen, the King Father stood by her side as an advisor but he always allowed Rose to have the final say. On the night of Rose's death, Decimus's grief was covered up by revenge for his daughter, but try as he may Decimus couldn't connect the dots of who murdered his daughter. Once Rose had returned from the dead Decimus could finally breathe that his daughter was back. Taking his leave with his wife to leave Hunedoara, they retired to a remote location until he was met with the face of death due to an angry mob.
What started as a friendly competition of tricking and pranking one another, turned into them discovering an unsettling truth about them being related. Vincent is Rose's brother on her paternal side, after learning that her father had an affair with Vincent's mother, Rose at first was shocked that the man that she called father had done such a thing. Once the shock of it all wore off she slowly started to open up to him as her brother instead of a friend or a council member. She trusts Vincent and will protect him for he is her baby brother and the only remaining blood family she has.
He was once a king in Rose's neighboring Kingdoms until her parents arranged a meeting for the two. Although Rose was smitten by Septimus by his good looks, she couldn't allow herself to fall in love with him for she was in love with another, one who was not of the Royal line. So putting her Kingdom first instead of her own heart, she tried to love Septimus, and soon they were engaged and wed. They ruled side by side for years until Septimus ultimately grew power hungry and began to rule both Kingdoms, casting Rose to the side. During their marriage, Rose tried to carry his child but to no avail, which only made Septimus resent her more. Septimus conjured up a plan to kill his Queen and set forth to it with the help of the man she loved more than life itself. Soon afterward, he murdered Rose's parents. After three years of his reign alone, Rose came back from the dead and murdered her husband, making sure he couldn't come back to life like how she did.

This man came into Rose's life unexpectedly but he turned out to be the best thing she has had in a long time and she will do anything to make sure he is happy, taken care of, loved, and protected. It's like they say in a game of chess, a Queen should always protect her King. Sebastian purposed to Rose and as excepted, she said yes. All was going well until both of their Kingdoms demanded so much time from the King and Queen and for months it kept them away from one another. After months of being separated, she called off the engagement but told him she still loves him and will always have an ally with her. Sebastian took it very well and Rose hopes that one day she could be his friend once again. It was one of the hardest decisions Rose had to ever do in her life and no matter what she would always want the best for him and want him happy. Even if it couldn't be her.

Rose and Theodore share a history as old as herself. From the moment she felt his transition into one of her people, she knew she had to find him, to help him and guide him into his new life. Unfortunately, she couldn't stay by his side all night and waited four days until he found her at her castle. As her amber gaze met his forest green hues she fell in love with him. They had a bond from that moment forward. Throughout time they have loved and fought one another but always seemed to find their way back to each other. He is her greatest strength and also her greatest weakness. Theodore possesses the ability to interfere with the connection she has with her people, allowing her to know they are alive but the pain and suffering that they feel when they die is cut off when his feelings for Rose are good.
When his humanity is cut off, or when she is angry at him, his ability does not work on her. They reconnected in the town of Vrévale and while she knew him as Theodore Petrescu in Romania, he goes by TheodoreCarter. For over the millennium Rose has loved him and continues to love him to today but while she is engaged to Sebastian, Theodore had found love in another woman. Promising herself to Theodore that once they are available again, she will set forth to marry him. One might say they were soulmates, and Rose would agree. Once her engagement to Sebastian ended, Theodore was there to pick up the pieces that were of Rose's heart and put it back together, making it stronger as they set forth to finally be together once and for all.

Donovan was the first friend Rose made when she came to Vrevale. Since then he has shown her nothing but kindness, love, friendship and he even made her a flower crown and takes her out for ice cream. To Rose, Donovan is a king and her best friend. They have shared many laughs and adventures and since both are on the council, she gets to see him every day for work. She adores him and always wants to see him happy. She would do whatever for her bestie.
When the Kingdom heard that Queen Sylviana was pregnant in 993 AD, everyone rejoiced. King Decimus was losing hope fast that his Queen would not bear his child after multiple attempts of trying along with any medical treatment that may help the Queen. It threw the kingdom into a dark depression as everyone thought that the King and Queen would be the last of the Vampiric rule. Only those of a pure-blooded royal may rule the kingdom. That was the law that everyone agreed on and was happy with. When Queen Sylviana gave birth to their first and only baby girl, everyone thought the King would be disappointed and want nothing to do with the baby girl. Queen Sylviana feared this the most after hearing her King countlessly talk about wanting a son to rule with an iron fist. But as the King looked at his daughter, he saw something in her that made him gasp. Her beauty was unlike any vampire he had laid his eyes on, the way the babe screamed on arrival made him think of how powerful her voice will be. The King was in awe of his daughter. The Queen was delighted to hear of the King's approval for their child and both agreed on the name of Rose, for a rose is both beautiful and powerful with its thorns.
Once upon arriving home to the castle, Queen Sylviana's fear completely vanished as she looked upon her husband's face to see him engorged with their daughter. He smiled down at her with complete love and devotion speaking to her in their native Romanian Language. "Te voi proteja. Nimeni nu vă va face rău, te iubesc" The Queen smiled as she heard him promising their daughter how he will protect her, how no one will harm her, and that he loves her. It was quite a sight for Queen Sylviana to see.
Sometime after the news about the King and Queen returning home, the Kingdom was thrown into a celebration, one in which everyone could come to see the new Princess and give their blessings. Many brought gifts to help with the babe such as clothing, brushes and once she began to grow her fangs, there were objects for the little Princess to chew on. The King and Queen accepted every gift, gave their thanks, and went on to the next person. The King and Queen took turns in holding Rose for the duration of the party, not many got to bestow a kiss on the babe except for those of the family or other Royals who came to see the child and wish her nothing but the best. The Celebration allowed a priest to come and baptize the young Princess given how the Romanian Culture was very Orthodox but even still the Priest left a small gift, a Rosemary in honor of the Princess's name. The Celebration consumed the whole day but in between the Queen and King were filled with questions regarding the newborn babe.
"Congratulations your Highnesses, a baby girl is the utmost perfection but will you try for a son? A son to rule your throne?"
"Your daughter is beautiful! She will make a most excellent bride when she is of the age! Will you be having a son to rule your kingdom soon?"
"It is a shame you were not blessed with a son first but your daughter will make some future king happy nonetheless."
All-day long King Decimus and Queen Sylviana heard their congratulations but they also heard the underlying tone of their voices: They should have had a son. It made the King and Queen furious to hear that once they have provided an heir for the security of their Kingdom, they were dissatisfied that it was not a son. Not wanting to hear any more of their comments the Queen instructed everyone to leave.
"𝓛𝓮𝓪𝓿𝓮 𝓶𝔂 𝓱𝓸𝓶𝓮! 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓬𝓮𝓵𝓮𝓫𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓲𝓼 𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻! 𝓔𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝓸𝓾𝓽!" It took a moment for all the guests to leave, that was including the guards having to step in to direct them out but once the King and Queen were alone, they leaned on one another for comfort, Queen Sylviana holding her child close to her as she whispered, "𝓡𝓸𝓼𝓮, 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓵𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓭𝓸𝓶 𝓰𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓽"
And thus Rose's legacy had begun.
𝒩𝑜𝓉 𝒿𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝒶 𝒻𝒶𝒾𝓇𝓎𝓉𝒶𝓁𝑒
When the princess was old enough to learn of her heritage and culture of the vampire world at age 5, she spent day and night studying by order of her father. She began learning that on her Faher's side she was the descendent of the original First Vampire, and even though there were tons of other Royal Vampires, her family would be the only one to truly take the throne to rule them all. Of course, being young Rose knew how important it was to have this responsibility. Rose has always been wise beyond her years but even still she was only a child but King Decimus only saw the brightness of her future when they were studying. Even if he did not get the son he wanted King Decimus still had the dream that Rose would rule with an iron fist.
"Father? Why do I have to study now? I want to go play with all the other children." Rose begged when she was only at the age of ten.
"Rose, my dear.." Her father sighed placing a hand on her shoulder, while his body towered over her small one "You are not like the other children in our Kingdom. You are a Princess and soon you will be Queen and your mother and I are here to prepare you for that. You are the future of our kingdom, of our race and you must always keep looking forward." Her fathers' words hit her differently that day. She always knew she was going to be Queen but her father had never told her to keep looking forward. Her shoulders became heavy as the weight of her future pushed her down even more. She couldn't let her Father, Mother, or her people down they depended on her to succeed.
Looking up at her Father, her amber hues meeting those sets of almond browns and in a very small voice, one that seemed child-like but carried the true meaning like an adult, she asked her Father "What if I can't?"
King Decimus stared at her, his face completely void of any emotion but Rose could see his mind turning, thinking of an answer that would be best suited for her. She was only still a child but King Decimus has the problem of making her grow up way too fast. This was a moment where he realized it as Rose pleaded with her eyes to say something to help her. Alas, the King got on his knees to meet her eye level, pulled the Princess into a hug, while stroking her head and following the length of her hair. Her father was an amazing man and an even better ruler, but it was rare that he would become vulnerable and act as her father. In time's where he was, Rose cherished it.
"My sweet Rose...." He began in a whisper but Rose could hear every word, "I know sometimes I put too much pressure on you. At time's it is not right but I'm only helping you to become a great Queen. I know you can look forward, I know you will be someone this Kingdom deserves and needs." King Decimus held Rose for only a moment more until he released her, giving her one last encouraging smile before walking away, leaving the Princess with not only a heavy shoulder, but a heavy heart as well.

Over time, Rose grew and grew into a beautiful young woman, she was loved by most of her subjects in her kingdom by her charm and grace. Early at age sixteen, she would often go out in the town to meet her beloved subjects running into both sides of those who agree with her on the throne and she had met some of her subjects who disapproved of the idea that Rose would one day rule the kingdom, thinking it would be better for a male to sit on the throne. At first, Rose brushed them off, she knew the downside of being a woman on the throne she was on. Most felt like a Man should be beside her but others thought she would do just fine until then. The latter was her favorite kind of people, they saw the worth she was willing to give them. Rose would spend no more than two hours patrolling and greeting her Kingdom until it was time to head back to the Castle and continue her duties.
The next time she went to greet her people she was surrounded by the same people, her guards, and a handmaiden or two to help with whatever she needed at the time. Most of the time what they did was pick up her dress in certain areas to avoid getting it dirty. But there were the occasional times where they would talk with the Princess, giving her insight into the mundane life of the people. Rose found them fascinating. As they walked through the Kingdom, Rose gave them her dazzling smile and a Princess wave greeting them when they spoke to her. Even though she ran into the people who loved her, she couldn't ever escape the ones who always seem to put her down. All through the day she countlessly heard the same thing:
"King Decimus should just marry his daughter to a king already. She is of age to be wed, why wait for her?"
"A woman on the throne without a king? Preposterous! She'll lead us to our deaths!"
One by one Rose heard the negative comments. "How dare they think I am unfit to rule this Kingdom which is my birthright!" She spoke aloud without meaning to. Off behind her, one of her handmaidens spoke up softly for her ears to catch.
"𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝙷𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚒𝚏 𝙸 𝚖𝚊𝚢 𝚋𝚎 𝚜𝚘 𝚋𝚘𝚕𝚍 𝚊𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚊𝚢, 𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚜 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚚𝚞𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚒𝚎𝚍, 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚎." Looking over Rose thought it was a wonderful idea. She should let her people become aware that she is the one true Ruler for this throne. She has worked hard to secure it as hers and even though her people's words are only that, words, she wouldn't let them spread to other nations allowing them to think Rose was unfit. She has to put an end to these lies once and for all.
Before leaving the village she made sure to spread the word to gather in the heart of her kingdom for her announcement. Many people came, they were mixed with admiration and annoyance by those who saw her as unfit. It disgusted her. Gathering in the center she was in the local heart of the crowd as she took a deep breath before screaming out, "I am the daughter of King Decimus and Queen Sylviana. No male will ever rule this kingdom as I will. No male will ever love this kingdom as I do. Those who wish to see me with a male as a King are wasting their time. Even if I do marry this King will rule beside me, not the other way around. Your talk about me upon my throne without a male until otherwise is treason from here on out. I have worked hard to claim my throne and believe me, it shall be mine!" Even if she wasn't Queen yet, Rose had the authority and power like one. Those who thought less of her were soon corrected by that one encounter.
Upon her eighteenth birthday in the year 1,011 AD, she would be crowned as Queen, such as tradition went for her kind. Rose had spent the entire day preparing herself: she took a longer bath than she normally did, her nails became painted in the shade of Crimson red, her hair was styled away from her face but would not interfere with her crown being placed on her head. Once the sun had been set she could hear the people enter into her home to gather in the throne room, her nerves racing with every step that came. Taking a small courageous breath, Rose began to walk towards the throne room with her long train from her dress following behind her. She had already heard her Mother and Father being introduced by their titles by the time she appeared by the double doors.
"Introducing Rosalia Ileana Constantinescu, Princess of Hunedoara." She could hear the applause the moment the doors began to open and being on autopilot, her lips turned into a smile, she kept her eyes forward and walked to where the priest was holding a golden staff and a golden ball with jewels at the top. Rose had forgotten what it was called but she knew it was important for this day. Before she realized she had stepped in front of the priest and began to kneel on the pillow before her, keeping her amber hues on his grey orbs. Even though the Priest spoke to her, she could sense someone fetching the crown her mother had worn so it could be symbolized that her mother and father's reign was now over and Rose's was just beginning.
"Do you Rosalia Ileana Constantinescu swear to uphold your duties as Queen? Will you protect not only the people of Hunedoara but also the rest of the Vampires that seek your guidance?"
Without missing a beat Rose answered, "I swear it."
"Do you vow to be just, righteous, and above all fair?"
"I swear it."
The priest smiled softly towards Rose indicating he had faith in the young Queen and then proclaimed "Then I hereby pass on the crown that will forever make you Queen." Carefully, the Priest placed the crown on her head and once it did, Rose felt as if her heart, mind, and soul had been exploded causing the young Vampire to gasp.
The moment the crown touched her head her vision jumped from vampire to vampire seeing everything they did for only a fraction of a second and that's when she realized she could feel every Vampire that existed. Not just in her kingdom but those far and wide. From neighboring kingdoms to those who had no kingdom at all, Rose was connected to all of them. Her mother and father did not tell her that this would be part of the coronation. When her vision came to, she could see a concerned look in the Priest's eyes but he said nothing and carried on as if what just happened to Rose never happened at all. "Rise, my child, for a Queen will never kneel for anyone again." Taking a moment to recover what just happened Rose stood her ground and was handed the staff and golden ball before turning to all that gathered in her throne room. "I present to you, Rosalia Ileana Constantinescu, Queen of Hunedoara." Then all she could hear was the cheering.
The Coronation took about an hour but it was a long excruciating hour. When the hour was over Rose confronted her parents and both of them looked at her in shock. Neither one of them had experienced what she did when they were crowned. There could be no way that they didn't experience this kind of torture as she just did. Leaving it alone for now, Rose decided not to spoil the rest of the coronation and the party that was to follow. The party afterward went on for three days. There were hunting trips, offering to the young Queen, and even marriage proposals from other kingdoms. Rose was quick to turn them down, despite what her mother and father were saying.
"More so I would be at his. If I were to marry, my vision for the kingdom would cease as soon as I say 'I do'. No male will make me inferior to what I am." Rose's words might have been a little harsh to her mother but every word she spoke was true. Her father was both pleased and upset by her. Rose didn't care, she had her kingdom and she wanted to lead it into a better world. If she met someone like that in the future, maybe, just maybe she would consider marrying them.
After the three days that came from the party, Rose sought it would be best to alert her parents of what happened at the coronation. Both of her parents were, unsurprising, shocked by this information. Promising to his daughter that he would seek out the answer, he left Rose alone with her mother. Days seemed to have passed before her father came back to her with urgent news. Her father had found out from a witch who specialized in prophecies that those who are worthy of the crown and are pure of heart shall inherit the ability to be one with the species of Vampire.
"This hasn't happened since..." Her mother started before looking back on the wall in the throne room where the past rulers of this Kingdom picture resided in the form of their crest. "Since your great-great-grandmother Lillith."
Rose had heard about her great-great-grandmother, she was the original Vampire when the world was first created and after transforming her husband they began to create more and more of the Vampires, Lillith as their Queen, until what always happens when the other race becomes scared: Her great-great-grandparents were destroyed. Rose heard about Lillith from her grandmother when she was around five years old. Since then she hasn't heard from the stories or even her grandmother.
Once word got out about this revelation to her subjects they were not pleased. They felt as if it was an invasion of privacy to know where they were at all the time, and some who were against Rose having the throne in the first place were still angered by this. Rose assured each one of them she would use her knowledge to keep them safe and they still had free will to come and go if they wanted. Many were assured, others were not. Rose ruled with both an iron fist and compassion. She had a dream for her kingdom and she wouldn't take no for an answer. That wasn't to say if she knew something wouldn't be right for her kind, she wouldn't go after it. The safety of her people always came first, whether they believed it or not.
Six years. Six years was how long Rose was ruling alone without a husband, without a king, and she was doing just fine. She had built her Kingdom to one that took pride in being the creatures that they were, she brought peace within her walls and even made allies both in and out of her Kingdom.
One ally she made was that of a man named Theodore Petrescu in 1,017 AD.
Rose met Theodore when he was in transition from human into a Vampire, and although he took a couple of days to find her after she had ordered him to once he awakens, from the moment her amber eyes landed on his forest green hues, she instantly fell in love with him. From then on out, she spent as much time with him as she could, often skipping out on her Queenly duties to better know the man. Her favorite pastime with him was whenever he would take her to the lavender fields behind the castle. He was the first person to show her that such an enchanted place existed.
"Oh, Theodore...it's beautiful..." She breathed out in awe.
It was obvious that Theodore was in love with Rose too, which only made the Queen Mother and King Father very upset. For months both of them chastise Rose for it is wrong to fall in love with a commoner like Theodore, but Rose couldn't listen to them, her heart knew what it wanted and it screamed for Theodore. "I am Queen now and whomever I want to spend my time with I will!" She ordered back at her parents.
"Rose you know this isn't how it works! You can't just change this rule alone!" Her Father screamed in frustration, "There is a Vampire Council called the Elders who in the end make the final call."
"But I am Queen of all of our kind!" She protested but still, her father shook his head as if to tell her it didn't matter.
Desperate to change their daughter's mind, both the former King and Queen made arrangements to bring in all the Royal vampires from far and wide to their annual ball. At the annual Castle ball, Rose met a strapping young King by the name of Septimus.
"Septimus..what an interesting name." Rose smiled formally as she curtsied in their greeting.
"Well, Rose, you certainly live up to your name." Came Septimus's response as he bowed the same moment she curtsied.
Raising a brow, Rose looked at him with a confused and questionable look on her face, "What portrays my name?"
With an all too easy smile, Septimus said, "That you are beautiful."
As the night went on Rose learned that he was bold, daring, charismatic, and even showed the same interest that Rose had, but still Rose guarded her heart for Theodore still was the man she was deeply in love with. Septimus was a charming man, he knew how to charm Rose, and woo her, everything he said was perfect, almost scripted. The young Queen knew how much her Mother and Father worked to arrange this evening, the smile upon her mother's face gave it away from the longer she caught glimpses of her Mother.
'Fine', She thought, 'I will entertain this man for the evening.' It would at least get her mother off of her back for the night and Rose wasn't too upset at the idea of being in the company of a handsome man, even though it was all for show.
"Care for a dance your Highness?" Septimus reached out a hand for her and Rose gingerly accepted it.
"I would be honored." She spoke with grace.
"The honor is mine, I am in the company of not just a Queen but the Queen. I would. be a fool if I didn't show my respects to dance with you." His perfect script of words flowed from his mouth, Rose not believing any of it.
They danced the entire night, Spetimus refusing to allow any other male to interrupt his private session with her. He asked her some of the basic questions one would ask, favorite color, favorite book, preferred blood type, everything seemed to be going well, and usually, Rose would have been at least enjoying the company of a handsome male on any given day but her mind often wandered to the man with emeralds eyes and a love for her as far as the sky. Even with Septimus, Theodore took precedence in her heart and she doubt any man could ever come close to the way he did. Yet, she tried to stay engaged in the conversations more for her mother's sake than her own.
As the night dwindled and Dawn would soon break the morning sky, her guests were filling out to return to the safety of their own home and Rose could finally be alone until she would call upon Theodore and he would come.
"Shall I call upon you tomorrow night?" The neighboring King took Rose's hand to place a kiss on the back of it and Rose had to fight the urge to pull away.
Before Rose could politely decline her Mother stepped up from her behind and spoke, "Rose has an open schedule tomorrow. Please come visit us as soon as dusk rises." Rose could almost feel the desperateness dripping from her mother's voice. Any royal was better than the man she was in love with.
The following night Septimus did indeed show his face once again at Rose's castle, much to her Mothers delight. No matter how many times Rose refused to see him again, her Mother insisted before dragging her out of her study, or her room, or anywhere else Rose could scurry off to just to avoid the constant persuing of a man she did not want to marry. "Dragă, te rog să-i dai o șansă lui Septimus." The Queen mother pleaded, asking her daughter to give the Septimus a chance. With a groan, Rose agreed and the next night when Septimus arrived once again, Rose was already waiting for him.
"You're majesty," Septimus bowed with a smirk, "As radiant as the full moon as always." His complements dripped like honey off of his silver tongue. Ignoring the uneasy feeling about the man for her mother's sake, Rose curtsied and greeted him.
"You are quite persistent I will credit you as much King Septimus." Rose forced a smile before the snake in disguise held out an arm for her to take.
"My Queen, you have no idea. When I want something I go after it and I do not stop until I have it."
For a week Septimus continued to call upon her night after night, Rose not to refuse his company mainly for her mother's sake but she also grew an interest in the neighboring King, and sooner rather than later both of them set a date to be wed to join their kingdoms together, making the Queen Mother and King Father happy that Rose was marrying Royalty and not Theodore. They planned a wedding for the following year of 1,018 AD, giving both their kingdoms time to prepare for the merger.
While she was engaged to the King, Rose made sure to tell Septimus how her marriage to him only seemed political to her. She grew fond of Septimus in a way an arranged marriage was supposed to work but ultimately, her heart would always belong to the man she found on the streets and fell in love with four days later. Finding him in his study in her Castle, Rose entered and closed the door behind them.
"Septimus, there is something you must know." She began slowly as she approached him, aware to keep her voice low enough so no one could hear them.
Looking up from his book, the young King looked at his future bride and set aside the novel, "What is it my flower?" My flower. A nickname Rose didn't particularly care for given how unoriginal it was due to her name.
"I thought I should tell you before someone was to tell you instead." She took a deep breath as she stopped on the other side of his cherry-colored desk and looked into his wondering brown hues, "I am in love with another. My marriage to you is purely political, yet I cannot marry this other person because he is not of Royal descent."
Septimus sat in his chair and listened to Rose, not once interrupting her or getting angry, she did, however, see his bright hues darken in sadness for a moment until she stopped speaking long enough for him to ask her, "Who is this man?" There was no hurtfulness, no sadness, it just sounded monotoned, almost calculating even.
"Theodore." That was all she said, rolling his name off her tongue in her thick accent.
Then it was quiet for a heartbeat. "How long have you been in love with him?"
"For a couple of months now, before I even knew of you. It was instant." She said quietly, not ashamed of how she felt for Theodore.
"Ești Sigur că și el te iubește?" Septimus spoke to her quietly, this time a ping of hurt ringing through her ears as he asked her if Theodore loved her as well.
"Sunt Sigur." She spoke telling him how sure she was of Theodore's feelings for her.
Once more it was quiet, this time longer than a heartbeat. After a count of twenty human heartbeats, Septimus stood up and made his way to her to stand before her. His eyes focused on hers that dared her to stay locked on him as his voice was gentle and kind. "I'll make you a deal, Rose, I'll turn a blind eye to this Theodore and the love you have for him in exchange that you continue to be my bride, rule beside me, and lead both of our Kingdoms into the daylight. Bare my child or children should you have twins." He gave a small chuckle before his face turned somber once more, grabbing her hands. "Our Kingdoms need a King and Queen and someday and Heir to both. You can have everything you want with this deal."
As the Queen listened she did have to admit that it sounded a rather wonderful deal, she could have the best of both worlds: continue her love with Theodore yet also make her parents and people happy by giving them a king and someday a child. A child that would be of Septimus. Not Theodore. It was a thought that never occurred to Rose, would Theodore desire a child with her should she continue her love with him? Or would he become relieved that he would get Rose in this perfect illusion of a deal that a child was a small price to give up for them to be happy together?
Septimus patiently waited for her answer, still gripping her hands. And finally Rose came back from her state of trance as she thought about the option and nodded her head. "Okay, you have a deal."
Rose and Septimus married in late August and even though her marriage to Septimus was political, her heart was still in love with Theodore, and being young and naive at the time, Rose was convinced that Theodore was still in love with her.
Or so she thought.
Soon after the wedding, Septimus grew into Rose's Kingdom very quickly, already importing his soldiers from his castle to hers and even making the guards that were from Rose's kingdom- including Theodore- pledge their loyalty to him as well. At first Rose thought it was because they were married that he wanted to share everything between the both of them. In time Rose grew to learn the truth about it all. Septimus had become a mad king of sorts, relishing in power that wasn't his and even though Rose was the Queen of all Vampires, it didn't seem to make a difference to Septimus who only viewed Rose as a woman who should know her place, to be seen but not spoken. Months have passed and Septimus only grew more and more comfortable with taking over Rose's kingdom, everywhere she turned there was something different, people became more frightened of visiting the King and Queen, violence had spread amongst the people and what was the breaking point for Rose was watching her trusted friend and lover Theodore kill the human woman he fell in love with due to Septimus's decision.
"Septimus there was another way to punish him! Killing an innocent human is only going to cause more suspicion of who we are! Don't you-" the petite brunette tried to reason with her husband.
"Enough Rose!" Septimus yelled back in response, his once light brown eyes turning to look at her muddy pools with a look of disgust. "I did what I thought was the best for my people!"
Narrowing her brown in frustration Rose met his angry tone with her own, "You're people? These people belong to me! This is my Kingdom, my subjects and I will not have you come in here and-" Her ranting was cut off due to Septimus slapping her across the face, causing the Vampiress to shuffle back and hold the cheek that was inflicted.
"Don't you dare speak out against me! You may be Queen but I am King. Without me, you are nothing Rose. Do you hear me? Nothing." And with those cold words spoken to her, Rose believed him, forgetting who she was and what she was capable of doing to those who betray her, all because of him.
So she stayed silent and watched him walk away with a smug look on his face, one that boiled her blood into thinking that he could get away with disrespecting her like so. Yet she didn't do anything. She didn't raise her voice, she didn't strike back, and she didn't even use her gift as an advantage to cause him pain. Instead, she squared her shoulder, stood tall, and looked him in the eyes, knowing they were probably red and as she stood there, something deep in Septimus's boring brown orbs flashed a very small amount of fear. It was all Rose needed to feel the courage she thought she had lost. Yet just as quickly as she saw it come, it was gone and Septimus' cold dark eyes were back. "Don't forget our deal. I'm still waiting on an heir." And with that Septimus departed from her sights.
Upon her Eighth year of rule at age 26 on December 16th, 1,019 AD, Rose was murdered by her devoted husband. Septimus had walked into their bedroom chambers to try once more for Rose to try to conceive a child, only to have him attack Rose when she was preparing for bed. Rose tried to escape his grasp, she even called out for Theodore who stood guard at her door by both her voice and the connection she had with him. When he didn't come through the door Rose had figured Septimus must have done something to him, made him unconscious or unavailable to easily come to her aid. The thought broke her. Once Septimus had Rose pinned to the ground so she couldn't get away, he claimed how he was angry how in the short time that they were wed, Rose has yet to bear him an heir and his anger grew to stop loving Rose and become more power-hungry seeing how Rose's kingdom was still becoming more advanced than his own. Not once did he mention the love affair she had with Theodore, but Rose didn't need to hear it, she could read between the lines. Everything Rose has done since marrying the selfish King, was all a setup for this moment. Rose was a pawn in his game. Heartbroken by the betrayal, Rose's heart was filled with a vengeance as she spat out her dying words to her betrayer.
"I'll be back, I swear, and once I am...I'll kill you." As Septimus lifted himself off of her for a moment, she felt his cold, dead hands around her face and felt the muscles in his arms slither down to his finger to twist her head.
And then there was darkness.

Snow. There was snow falling around. A thick blanket of the pure white substance that covered the body felt so heavy to her. Coming in and out of consciousness that's all Emilia could see. Snow. About the fourth time coming too, the pure white delicate cover of the snow was now tainted with the deep rich color of red. 'I'm dying.' She thought, and in her heart, she felt it too. She could not move, could not call out for help, all she was able to do was think about her last moments before the cold temperatures got to her. Death never seemed so sweet until now. Something was shifting around her when she had given up hope, 'Help! Please, I'm right here!' Emilia thought, but couldn't bring her lips to vocalize those cries for help. But it didn't matter if she did, somehow, someway she was heard. The stranger picked up her arm and help her rise. Emilia was surprised to see a beautiful young woman that came to her rescue. 'Thank you.' She mouthed the words, but nothing came out, she heard it clear in her mind how she said it but when it came to talking, she heard nothing. But the beautiful goddess-like person did. She only smiled, showing her teeth that had fangs where her canines are supposed to be. Driven with fear, she tried to run, but the moment she did she tripped. Looking at what she tripped over she saw none other than her own body. 'How?!' She exclaimed at the woman with fangs, her mind doing the talking for her since she couldn't move her mouth to speak. "It's obvious, isn't it? You're dead." That one sentence was enough for Emilia to shriek. It was useless nobody but the goddess that stood before could hear her. "Don't worry." The goddess spoke "I'll take such great care of your body. It's been so long since I had one." The goddess sighed happily. 'Who are you?" She couldn't help but ask. The goddess smirked, showing only one of her fangs, "Rose." was all she said before leaping forward toward the body. That was the last thing Emilia saw.

The body was perfect, from head to toe. It was a damn good close resemblance of what Rose remembered her own body was like. Arising from the snow that was beneath her, Rose wearily made her way into the town and found a local paper on the ground. The date read December 20th of 1,022 AD. A familiar hunger settled in her throat and before Rose could make any reasonable decisions, she went hunting. She nearly slaughtered the whole town just to quench her thirst. She had waited over three years for this body, she would not make it go to waste.
After all her kingdom needed her.
Returning to her kingdom the same night was bittersweet. She remembered everything and everyone that was there. A couple of faces were surprised to see Rose in the body that looked so much like her past one, they thought they were seeing a ghost. On any other day, Rose would've stopped to tell them that they weren't and that it was her, but she had someone to see first.
Her dear, darling, betraying husband.
Waiting until nightfall, Rose entered her castle and marched right to the bedroom that she and Septimus shared. She was a bit surprised as she found that it was only he who was sitting in a chair reading a book she didn't recognize. A part of her, one she thought was long forgotten, was happy to see Septimus not remarried, but that small fraction of herself was soon wiped away as Septimus snapped his head in her direction when he heard the door slam open. The memories flooded her vision, all she could see was her old body laying in the middle of the floor, her cries for help rung in her ear..they all turned red.
Septimus's already pale face seemed to go a shade whiter as he examined Rose in her new body. "R-Rose?" he asked as his voice shook with uncertainty and fear, "Is that you?"
Rose smiled wickedly showing off her fangs "I told you I would be back." She stated venomously just before she jumped towards him to snap his neck before throwing the rest of his body in the fireplace that was still standing in her room after she had heard Septimus tell her countless times how much he hated her fireplace. Rose just gave him a whole new reason to hate it as she smiled and watched her betraying husband burn.
It didn't take long for Rose to regain the throne she thought she had lost, the only thing that took the longest was proving that it was she and the only way the Vampiress could think of was to tell everyone how she was still connected with every vampire that exists. Her subjects rejoiced once again that their Queen was home. The next thing Rose did was cut the alliance with the neighboring kingdom that Septimus ruled. She wanted nothing to do with them any more than her subjects did as they told her all the gruesome things that happened while she was dead. After her work with Septimus and his kingdom was done Rose contemplated staying. She already sought her revenge. That was the main reason she came back, but she has been dead for three years and the people who watched her grow from when she was a child would have to look at her in the new body she possessed. She couldn't force that on them, they have already been through so much. Yet she stayed, finding any excuse to help her people there for the time being. It took a meer millennium for her to see that it was finally okay for Rose to leave her Kingdom for a while.
So with her mind made up Rose vowed to continue taking care of her subjects and her kingdom but without her there. Biding goodbye properly this time Rose packed her belongings and moved to Vrevale, Maine where she found a small town that harbored other supernatural creatures like her. It wasn't a kingdom but it was nice that she didn't mind the quaintness of it. Rose even changed her last name due to no one knowing how to pronounce it, she tried to keep as much of her Romanian last name of Constantinescu as much as possible, wanting to keep her heritage alive.
After some time of living in Vreévale, Rose had been given the invitation of joining the town council where a representative of each species that lived there was able to speak before their kind. Without hesitation, Rose agreed as she figured this could be the start of how she could get her people's voices heard. Slowly she made so many friends on the council, her first one being Donovan Pierce. He showed her a kindness that she didn't think someone would to her, but Donovan quickly proved her wrong earning the nickname of Cinnamon Roll. Slowly she was able to speak about her people's concerns and change how her people were viewed and for the first time, Rose felt like she was making a difference. One of the most shocking discoveries was when she was the half-sister of the Phoenix leader named Vincent Dimare. The only thing that they have found out was that her father had an affair with Vincent's mother.
As time went on in the small town of Vrévale she soon met a man named Sebastian McMillian and soon found herself falling in love with him. It was a connection that felt so natural and pure that it ended up with him being her best friend along with her boyfriend. For a while, she was incredibly happy with him as they went out together and enjoyed each other's time, and soon after they were engaged, but good things always seem to come short for Rose. In the short time that Rose and Sebastian were dating, there was certain trouble named Theodore Carter that showed up in Vrévale. Theodore's mission was to destroy Rose and hurt her for what he believed she did to him back in Romania. For months she tried to reason with Theodore and help him but he was hell-bent on making sure she knew what she had done to him. After rounds and rounds of arguing and fighting Theodore pleaded for Rose to erase her from his mind but how could she do such a thing from the first man she ever loved? So instead Rose only Compulsed Theodore to forget about the bad things that happened in Romania between them, Septimus, and even his hatred for her. It was a struggle but Rose finally did it and she had the man she first fell in love with back. But now that Rose was with Sebastian her heart was torn between the two men she loved. She instead focused on her relationship with Sebastian, given how happy she was and it was still illegal for Rose to marry someone of non-Royal bloodlines. But every time she was around Theodore, she always seemed to gravitate towards him like a magnet and it was killing her how she wanted to be with Sebastian but her heart had its eyes set on Theodore. So after an excruciating decision, she ended her engagement with Sebastian and set forth to abolish the law where she could only marry those of Royal descent. She was tired of living a lie to herself and others. This lie has lasted for over a thousand years and she was going to end it, with Theodore by her side.
